This antenna is working fine, just as I suppose most of these items do.
One caution - these antennas are prone to failure at the junction where
the wire meets the little rubber reinforcement going into the plug which goes into
the radio. I had to replace the last one because in normal handling the wire gets twisted,
stretched, what have you, til it breaks internally.
So this time round I have taped that junction and also about two inches towards the
wire side to reinforce this tender area. I am hoping the electrical tape will strengthen
this area, stopping the wear and tear which eventually end up with a failure.

This antenna seems to work better than the one that came with my Sirius satellite car hookup. It even works sometimes in the parking deck where my other antenna never worked. It has a strong magnet and a small plastic race for the wire where it comes out, so that I could make it continuous from the antenna to the weather stripping around the windshield. The wire is strong enough to be routed around the car and taped, etc.

I ordered this antenna so that it could be permanently mounted on my 2nd car and just move the receiver. It was received via USPS 1st Class Mail soon after I ordered it with a great shipping rate. If the unit was refurbished, I couldn't tell. It looked new. The only piece missing was the pigtail that holds the first 3" of antenna wire down to the mounting surface. After reviewing the pictures, I guess it was not supposed to include it. The hold-down magnet was strong and my receiver played well with no fading after hooking it up.
