Granted I just installed this product today and that I'm no audiophile, this auxiliary input device works perfectly! It did not come with the audio cable to plug into your mp3 player, but I had my own. As far as volume level goes, it's comparable to using CD's or some high quality FM stations without having to increase the volume. Installation was easy and relatively quick thanks to an installation video I found online. I also recommend getting the Poly-Planar adapter Poly-Planar MP3/iPod/Satellite Radio Adapter so you can install an input jack into the dash which connects with this device.

I purchased the TOY03-AUX2 because the CD changer in my Dad's car was jamming and he just wanted to listen to the music on his iPhone 4s. The installation was very easy and required nothing but some tools. The quality was pretty good, I'd say about the same as a CD. Probably should use songs with higher bitrate. Also the box is VERY light. It made mounting it under the dashboard extremely easy. I just used Velcro and taped the RCA connections with electrical tape.
Installed in a 2003 Sequoia Limited.

I didn't expect this item to work with my vehicle. I have a 2004 Sienna XLE Limited with the 6-disc JBL radio and the rear seat entertainment (DVD). There are no separate buttons for an external changer or SAT.
It worked right out of the box! Now when I hit the DISC button it starts playing the CD. Hit it again and it is connected to the new AUX input. Hit it a 3rd time and it shows AUX and plays the sound from the rear seat DVD.
The sound quality is not great, the sound comes in kind of flat. I don't know if this is because of the AUX input, so I won't fault it for now. It also requires cranking up the volume, just as we have to when playing DVDs, so I can't blame that on this item either.
I am happy to have an AUX input now without having to use a cassette adapter.
